Derek is a carpenter by trade. His expertise is built on a strong foundation of education and hands-on experience in the construction industry—a career he has passionately pursued since childhood. Growing up, he worked alongside his father in the family’s painting and drywall business, gaining invaluable exposure to the trades early in life. Over the years, Derek expanded his skill set by working in commercial construction, learning the art of tile under the mentorship of his uncle, a master tile setter, and eventually running his own business remodeling homes. This diverse background has honed Derek's eye for detail and efficiency
Education
In addition to his extensive experience, Derek holds a general contractor’s license and has earned certificates in Residential Design and Construction from Yestermorrow Design/Build School, as well as Construction Management and Construction Estimating from the Colorado Homebuilding Academy. These credentials equip him with a deep understanding of design principles, project management, and cost efficiency, allowing him to approach every build with professionalism and precision. Hobbies
When Derek isn’t on the job site, he enjoys spending time in the great outdoors hiking and riding ATVs. A skilled archer and avid billiards player, he brings the same focus and precision to his hobbies as he does to his work, always striving for excellence in everything he does.
